Definition
Hibu maintains a list of
Prohibited and
Restricted verticals to ensure every Hibu One Smart Site complies with brand safety, legal standards, and platform policies.
These rules apply to all website content, advertising, and eCommerce functionality.
- Prohibited = Hibu will not build or host websites for these products or industries under any circumstances.
- Restricted = Hibu may build and host a website for this business as long as the Hibu One eCommerce store is not used to sell the restricted products.
- These businesses may include a link to a verified third-party store (e.g., Shopify, PayPal, Square, or another external checkout platform).
- The Hibu One 10-product store cannot include restricted products, nor can any “Buy Now,” “Shop Online,” or “Add to Cart” buttons connect to the Hibu store.

Prohibited Verticals
Hibu will not create, host, or promote websites or content for:
- Explosives or bomb-making materials
- Pornographic or sexually explicit content of any kind
- Human trafficking or escort services involving transactional sex or implied sale of persons
- Illegal substances or activities
- “Hate speech,” discriminatory, or inflammatory content (e.g., KKK, extremist groups)
Restricted Verticals
Hibu may build websites for these industries under the following restrictions:
1. Weapons & Explosives
- Restricted - No online sales through the Hibu store; external links permitted
- Fireworks
- Replica or imitation firearms marketed as real
- Self-defense weapons such as stun guns, tasers, or pepper spray
- Prohibited - Hibu will not create, host, or promote website
- Explosives or bomb-making materials
2. Controlled Substances & Vaping
- Restricted - No online sales through the Hibu store; external links permitted
- THC, CBD, hemp, vape, and related products
- Vape juice or e-liquids containing nicotine
- Cannabis dispensaries (medical or recreational) — informational only
- No online sales through the Hibu store; external links permitted
3. Adult-Oriented Businesses
- Restricted - No online sales through the Hibu store; external links permitted
- Adult entertainment, escort, or dating services (must be professional, tasteful, and non-graphic)
- Fetish, bondage, or sexual wellness products — may be shown but not sold via the Hibu store
- All imagery must be from the neck up; no pornographic or sexually suggestive content
- Prohibited - Hibu will not create, host, or promote website
- Pornographic or sexually explicit materials
4. Health & Medical
- Restricted - No online sales through the Hibu store; external links permitted
- Unlicensed or “miracle cure” treatments
- Stem cell therapy, IV drips, or other high-risk health claims
- Unverified supplements, including weight-loss or muscle-building products
- Allowed:
- Plastic surgery or medical aesthetic practices (before-and-after images permitted with assumed patient consent)
5. Illegal or Questionable Products
- Restricted - No online sales through the Hibu store; external links permitted
- Counterfeit goods, imitation brands, or replicas
- Hacking tools, spyware, or surveillance products
- Prohibited - Hibu will not create, host, or promote website
- Personal data sales or human trafficking
6. Gambling & Betting
- Restricted - No online play, gambling, or wagering; External links permitted
- Sports betting, fantasy sports, and casinos — allowed only for informational or brick-and-mortar purposes
