Fair Use Policy — Media & Assets

Fair Use Policy — Media & Assets

Effective Date: February 1, 2026   Last Updated: February 1, 2026

Purpose
The Fair Use Policy defines the maximum volume of media and content assets that Hibu will upload, optimize, or configure on behalf of a client during a standard Hibu One SmartSite build. These limits ensure consistent quality, performance, and turnaround across all sites, regardless of size or page count.

Images
Hibu will upload and optimize up to  1,000 total images per site.

  • This may include up to 20 separate galleries, with each gallery containing a maximum of 50 images.
  • All brand logos, and icons count toward the 1,000-image total.
  • A single image used multiple times throughout the site counts only once.
  • It is expected that Hibu will rename all uploaded images and apply descriptive alt text to meet accessibility and SEO standards.
  • Client-supplied images must meet platform and quality requirements (50MB max file size, high enough resolution for intended placement).
  • If supplied assets exceed quality or volume limits, Hibu may:
  • Curate representative samples, or
  • Create a consolidated gallery with a downloadable catalog or PDF.
  • Legacy or low-resolution images may be excluded from prominent placements but can appear in supporting sections or galleries where quality impact is minimal.

Logos, Partner Icons / Badges & Branding Assets

  • Hibu will feature one business logo in the site header — no exceptions.
  • If a business has multiple versions of its logo, the client must select one for use in the header.
  • The chosen logo will be optimized for both desktop and mobile display.
  • Preferred file type: PNG
  • Accepted file types: SVG or JPEG
  • Not accepted: GIF or animated logo files
  • In the site footer, Hibu will include up to 24 brand, partner, or accreditation icons.
  • Icons must be visually consistent in size, quality, and orientation.
  • SVG is preferred for scalability, though PNG and JPEG are acceptable.
  • Animated or low-resolution graphics are not permitted.
  • It is expected that the Hibu design team will rename all uploaded logo and icon files and apply appropriate, descriptive alt text to meet accessibility and SEO standards.
  • All logos and icons are subject to layout and visual balance. Excess or redundant icons may be excluded at the designer’s discretion to preserve a clean, professional design.

Video

  • Hibu will upload or embed up to 20 total videos per site.
  • This total includes all video types used on a Hibu One Smart Site:
  • Client-supplied uploaded video files
  • Embedded videos from YouTube, Vimeo, or Dailymotion
  • Background videos (each counts toward the total)
  • Hero videos (each counts toward the total)

Audio

  • Hibu will upload or embed up to 20 audio clips (e.g., SoundCloud, Mixcloud, or hosted MP3s).
  • Audio files must meet standard performance guidelines (≤50MB each).
  • It is expected that the Hibu design team will rename all uploaded audio files to ensure proper organization and consistency.
  • Continuous background audio or autoplay is not permitted for accessibility reasons.

PDFs, Files, & Downloads

  • Hibu will upload and link up to 50 PDFs or other downloadable files per site.
  • Larger document repositories or file libraries are not included in the standard build.
  • Files must comply with security and file-type rules (no executables, scripts, or unsupported formats).
  • It is expected that the Hibu design team will rename all uploaded files for clarity and consistency.
  • When applicable (e.g., image-based PDFs), appropriate alt text or file descriptions will be added to support accessibility and SEO.
  • Extensive collections (e.g., manuals, forms, or archives) may be consolidated into a single Download Center page with limited featured items and a client-provided ZIP or catalog PDF.

Blogs

Third-Party Blog Content

  • When a blog import is available via a valid RSS feed, Hibu will import eligible blog posts in accordance with platform limits, up to 300 posts per RSS feed per Duda system rules.
  • If an RSS feed is unavailable or unsupported, Hibu manual blog post recreation is required. In these cases, Hibu will manually rebuild up to the 300 most recent blog posts from the third-party site.
  • Blog posts beyond the 300-post system limit are not rebuilt or migrated due to platform capacity constraints.
  • It is in the best interest of Hibu to proactively inform the client that imported or rebuilt blog posts will not appear identical to the original site and may reflect updated spacing, fonts, and layout structures aligned with the Hibu One Smart Site framework.

Legacy Hibu Blog Content

  • For all legacy Hibu site upgrades, Hibu will import blog content via RSS when available.
  • If an RSS feed is unavailable or unsupported, Hibu will manually rebuild all existing blog posts from the legacy Hibu site.
  • It is in the best interest of Hibu to proactively inform the client that rebuilt blog posts will conform to current Hibu One Smart Site design standards and may differ visually from the legacy site.

Inventory / Catalog Overview Pages

Inventory Item Listings

When individual inventory items are displayed, each item includes:

  • One image
  • One item name
  • One short description
  • One call-to-action

Pricing, sale indicators, or brief inventory notes may be included
only within the description content. Separate pricing or callout fields are not supported.

Hibu does
not build detailed product profiles. The following are not included:

  • Technical specifications or spec sheets
  • Extended or multi-paragraph descriptions
  • Multi-image galleries per item
  • Feature tables or comparison charts
  • Documents or PDFs attached to individual items

Inventory / Product Listing Pages & Catalog Overview Pages

Hibu represents a client’s products or offerings using Inventory / Product Listing Pages and, when applicable, Catalog Overview Pages. Both page types use the Photo Gallery widget and follow the same sitewide quantity limits.

Quantity Limits (Sitewide)

  • Hibu will build up to 50 total gallery cards per site, combined.
  • Gallery cards may represent either:
  • Individual inventory items (Inventory / Product Listing Pages), or
  • Product categories (Catalog Overview Pages).
  • Inventory items and product categories share one combined sitewide limit.
  • A site may not include 50 inventory items and 50 category listings.

Catalog Overview Listings

When a client’s full offering cannot be reasonably displayed as individual items within the 50-card limit, Hibu will use Catalog Overview Pages to present products at a category level.

Catalog Overview listings:

  • Represent product categories, not individual items
  • Provide high-level summaries only
  • Route users to client-provided catalogs, third-party external sites, or contact-driven next steps

Catalog Overview Pages do
not function as full product catalogs or ecommerce listings.

Custom Forms

  • Hibu will build up to 10 unique custom forms per site.
  • Each form must have a unique purpose and field setup.
  • Forms may be duplicated across multiple pages as needed but no more than 10 distinct forms will be created.
  • Custom forms with 10 or fewer fields can appear on any page.
  • Forms with more than 10 fields must appear on a dedicated page, which counts toward the site’s total page count.
  • Forms cannot exceed 25 total fields.
  • For consistency and SEO, the Hibu design team will rename any uploaded form-related assets (e.g., icons, background images) and apply descriptive alt text as needed.

Third-Party Widgets, Scripts, or Embeds

  • Hibu will install and configure up to 5 client-supplied third-party widgets or embeds (e.g., chat tools, calendars, booking systems).
  • Code must be provided in valid HTML, CSS, or JavaScript and comply with HTTPS standards.
  • Hibu will not create, debug, or maintain external widget functionality.
