Definition

The Blog is a structured content feature within Hibu One Smart Sites that enables publishing, managing, and displaying time-based articles. Blog posts are distinct from standard site pages and follow platform-specific limits and import rules.

Blog Availability & Ownership

  • Every Hibu One Smart Site includes a blog option.
  • The blog becomes visible on the live site only after at least one post is published.
  • Customers have full DIY access to create, publish, unpublish, and manage blog posts.
  • Blog posts are independent of standard website pages and do not count toward the 1,000-page site limit.
  • Hibu does not create or write blog posts unless included as part of a contracted service.

Blog Content Limits & Capacity

Platform Capacity

  • A Hibu One Smart Site supports up to 1,500 total blog posts.
  • This limit includes all created, imported, and retained posts.
  • Blog posts are managed within the Duda blog platform.

Importing Blog Content

RSS Import (Third-Party Sites)

  • Up to 300 posts per feed (system limit)
  • Imported blog posts from an external (non-Hibu) site
  • Blog posts are imported via a valid, supported RSS feed.
  • If an RSS feed is unavailable or unsupported, Hibu will manually rebuild up to the 300 most recent blog posts.

Legacy Hibu Site Migration

When upgrading from an existing Hibu website:

  • Blog content is imported via RSS when available.
  • If an RSS feed is unavailable or unsupported, Hibu will manually rebuild all existing blog posts from the legacy Hibu site.

What Typically Imports

When importing blog content (via RSS or rebuild), the following elements are generally supported:

  • Text content (H1/H2/H3, paragraphs)
  • Post title, post URL/name, author, and publish date
  • Meta titles and meta descriptions, when available

Content Limitations

  • Images, videos, and embedded HTML may not transfer correctly and are dependent on the source platform.
  • Styling, layout, and visual presentation will not match the original site.

All imported or rebuilt content automatically conforms to
Hibu One Smart Site design standards to ensure consistency, performance, accessibility, and mobile responsiveness.

SEO Considerations

  • Published blog posts automatically generate SEO-friendly schema markup.
  • Posts include editable meta titles, descriptions, tags, and URLs.
  • Preserving original URLs and metadata is attempted when technically feasible to maintain SEO continuity.

Key Notes & Client Communication

  • Imported or rebuilt posts may differ visually from the original site due to updated spacing, fonts, and layout structures.
  • It is expected that teams proactively inform clients that:
  • Only a limited number of posts may be rebuilt without RSS
  • Older blog posts may not be retained
  • Visual presentation will align with Hibu One standards, not the legacy design
