Hibu Policy
Hibu One Smart Sites support audio either through files uploaded to the Media Manager or through approved third-party embeds. When clients supply audio, Hibu can add it to the site by uploading the file or embedding it from SoundCloud or Mixcloud. External audio is only available in the location where it is placed and does not appear in the Media Manager.
It is expected that the Hibu design team will rename all uploaded audio files and apply alt text or descriptions where applicable.
Definition
Audio includes sound-based files such as podcasts, songs, interviews, and tutorials. These files may be hosted directly on the site or embedded from supported audio platforms.
Rules & Guidelines
- Maximum of 20 audio clips per site.
- Supported sources: SoundCloud, Mixcloud, and MP3 uploads.
- Maximum file size: 50 MB per audio file.
- No background autoplay is allowed.
- Hibu renames all uploaded audio files.
- Clients must provide final, web-ready audio.
- Audio may be added in two ways:
- Uploaded audio: stored in the site’s Media Manager; width-only display control.
- Embedded audio: added from SoundCloud or Mixcloud using the Audio widget.
- Platform-based design options vary and may affect layout or styling.
- For consistent design, all embedded audio on a site should use the same platform.
