Hiding or Removing Pages During Site Build
Pages That Must Be Hidden or Removed During Site Build
Hibu Policy
During every Hibu One site build, unused template pages are expected to be either:
- Moved to the XTRA Pages folder and unpublished, or
- Deleted entirely if they are not supported within the Hibu One framework.
This is a structural quality standard. It does not impact site performance, but it ensures clean architecture, prevents accidental indexing, and maintains build integrity.
Purpose / Why It Matters
This expectation ensures:
- Clean, intentional site hierarchy
- Clear separation of live vs. inactive pages
- Reduced QA errors
- No accidental publishing or indexing
- Consistency across all Hibu One builds
Unused pages left in navigation or in the root structure create confusion and weaken structural discipline.

Pages to Move to XTRA Pages (If Not Used)
If the following template pages are not actively being used, they must be moved to the XTRA Pages folder:
- FAQs
- Gallery
- Request Form Page
- Serving Area
- Areas Served (anchor)
- Locations (folder - Loc Cat + Loc Profile)
- Core Page
- Cat-Landing
- DNT – Andrew
These pages:
- Must not remain in primary navigation.
- Must be clearly organized under XTRA Pages.
Set Page to Draft Status (IMPORTANT)
The following pages must be set to Draft Status when moved:
- Request Form Page
- FAQs Page
- Core Page
- Cat-Landing
- DNT – Andrew
This ensures they are not indexed.
Serving Area Structure Requirement
If Serving Area is used:
- SAP pages (SAP #1–#4, etc.) must be nested under the Serving Area parent.
- SAP pages must be properly indented.
- SAPs must not exist independently at the root level.
If Serving Area is not being used, it and its SAP pages must be moved to XTRA Pages.
