Additional Header Phone Numbers

Additional Header Phone Number

Effective Date: February 25, 2026   Last Updated: February 23, 2026

Hibu Policy

Hibu One supports one phone number in the header.

If a client requests multiple phone numbers in the header, the primary header phone number and CTA lead-in must be replaced with a single button (e.g., “Contact Us” or “Call Us”) that triggers the approved template pop-up:

  • Multi-Phone Pop
  • This pop-up is pre-built within the site template and located under Pages → Pop-Ups.
  • No custom pop-ups, duplicate builds, or structural modifications are permitted.
  • Multiple phone numbers may not appear inline in the header.

Definition

The Additional Header Phone Numbers feature replaces the static header phone number with a button that opens a pre-built modal containing multiple clickable phone numbers.

The Multi-Phone Pop supports up to 10 phone numbers.

  • On desktop and tablet, numbers display in two columns (up to five per column).
  • On mobile, numbers display as a single vertical column (up to 10).

Purpose / Why It Matters

The header is a controlled, high-visibility conversion area. Limiting it to one phone number preserves clarity, hierarchy, and performance.

The structured pop-up solution:

  • Maintains header layout integrity
  • Prevents visual clutter
  • Supports multi-location or multi-line businesses
  • Ensures consistent cross-device behavior
  • Eliminates custom structural deviations

This protects usability and product consistency.

Rules & Guidelines

Header Structure

  • Only one phone number may appear directly in the header.
  • If multiple numbers are required, the header phone number must be replaced with a button.
  • The button label may read “Contact Us,” “Call Us,” or another approved contact-based label.
  • Multiple phone numbers may not appear inline in the header.

Approved Pop-Up Types

Only the pre-built Multi-Phone Pop may be used.

  • Supports up to 10 phone numbers.
  • Located under Pages → Pop-Ups in the site template.
  • Must not be recreated, redesigned, or duplicated.
  • Structural edits are not permitted.

Desktop & Tablet Column Distribution

On desktop and tablet:

  • Numbers display in two columns (maximum five per column).
  • Column balancing is controlled at the desktop level and carries over to tablet automatically.
  • Teams must organize numbers intentionally to maintain visual balance.

Standard placement approach:

  • Begin in the left column, placing numbers top to bottom.
  • Once the left column is filled (up to five), continue in the right column, top to bottom.

Exception:

  • If there are only two numbers, they may be placed left and right for visual balance.
  • Columns must appear balanced and intentional.

Labeling Restrictions

Each phone number must include a clear identifying label (e.g., town, office name, service area).

Label requirements:

  • Labels must represent a legitimate location, office, or geographic identifier.
  • Labels must be concise.
  • Labels should fit on a single line when possible.
  • Multi-line wrapping should be avoided.
  • Font size may be slightly reduced if necessary to preserve single-line presentation.
  • Readability may not be compromised.
  • Promotional language is not permitted.

Ordering standard:

  • Unless otherwise directed, locations or towns must be listed in alphabetical order.
  • If alphabetical order is not used, the client must specify the preferred order.

Linking Standards

  • The implementing team must follow current Additional Locations and Location Profile rules when linking phone numbers.
  • Phone numbers must connect to the Content Library Business Information when applicable.
  • All numbers must be clickable.
  • No independent or hard-coded phone numbers outside of approved data sources.

Design Standards

  • The header button must follow established Hibu One button standards.
  • Styling must align with the site’s approved brand palette.
  • Visual balance and clarity are the responsibility of the implementation team.
  • Structural redesign of the pop-up is not permitted.
