UTM-Tagged URLs
UTM-Tagged URLs
Effective Date: February 1, 2026
Last Updated: February 1, 2026
Use of UTM Parameters
The Hibu One Smart Site fully supports URLs that contain UTM parameters. Any UTM-tagged URL supplied by the client will be added exactly as provided. The site does not remove, rewrite, or alter tracking parameters.
Accepted example:
https://foo.com/services/?utm_source=display&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=winter_sale
- The client must supply the full, UTM-tagged URL they want used.
- URLs will correctly pass through UTM parameters for analytics tools to capture.
- UTM parameters may be added to buttons, links, and CTAs as long as the full string is provided.
Relationship to GTM (Optional)
If the client provides Google Tag Manager (GTM) or requests GTM installation (see GTM documentation), Hibu One will:
- Install the GTM container code exactly as supplied
- Ensure UTM parameters are retained in URLs for GTM to read
Hibu One does
not configure, test, or troubleshoot GTM setups.
Client Responsibilities
- Creating UTM-tagged URLs
- Providing exact URLs and/or GTM container code
- Testing and validating all tracking, triggers, conversions, and reporting
- Troubleshooting any analytics or attribution issues
Once UTM URLs (and GTM, if applicable) are added, there is no additional configuration Hibu One performs. All tracking behavior is controlled by the client’s analytics setup.
